Meet at Izunuma Nosan Farmers Market.
There is a free parking lot nearby that can accommodate large buses.
10:00 – 11:20 Izunuma Walking Tour
Lake Izunuma is famous for the overwintering migratory birds and large clusters of lotus plants.Why not take a walk along the lake’s shore and local trails to enjoy the rich natural surroundings and relax? The walking distance is about 5 kilometers.
Since the course is flat, even beginners can walk comfortably and with ease.
11:30 – 12:20 Experience Making “Hatto,” a Traditional Local Dumpling Dish
Hatto is a traditional local dish made by mixing flour with water and kneading the dough. The dough is then pinched off into thin, flat pieces using your fingers, and boiled. In this experience, you’ll make the most classic version—Hatto in a light soup—by hand. Once prepared, your handmade dish will be brought to the restaurant, where you can enjoy it as part of your lunch.
12:30 – 13:20 Lunch at the Restaurant
You can enjoy Izunuma Nosan’s original brand products such as Date’s Pure Red Pork and Izunuma Ham. We also offer special meal sets, including one that won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award at the Local Production for Local Consumption Menu Contest. Customized meal plans are also available to suit your budget.
13:30 – 14:00 Shopping at the Farmers Market (Departure after shopping)
You can purchase fresh cuts of Date’s Pure Red Pork as well as ham and sausages from the Izunuma Ham series.
Seasonal vegetables and flowers from proud local farmers are also popular items.
At the specialty booth, a variety of items are available for purchase, including gelato made with milk produced in Miyagi Prefecture, pork buns, minced meat cutlets, sausages, and prepared side dishes.
